Nashville Farmers' Market

The Nashville Farmers' Market was seeking multiple designs when rebranding their merchandise. I led projects for a shirt design and three postcards. For the shirt, I illustrated multiple produce items carried at the market. The biggest challenge was illustrating them in a unique way while making them recognizable. Cauliflower, sweet potatoes and okra were the toughest ones to draw and probably the toughest ones for me to eat. It was one of the most fun projects on which I have worked.

The shirt design was produced with several color options. I created an additional version to be printed as a postcard, capturing the beautiful colors of each piece.

I illustrated the Nashville Farmers' Market building, exagerating the most recognizable features without losing similarity to the architecture. I squished the building, enlarged the fish and cow weathervanes and made the corn as big as possible without eclipsing the building.

Another design I illustrated for Nashville Farmers' Market centered around a sculpture in the building. Seitu Jones built a massive basket of turnip greens for NFM. I illustrated the basket to be produced on a postcard.
