Take This to Heart is an album from a pop punk band in Clarksville, Tennessee. Pop punk was very popular in the early 2000's, and I wanted to create something nostalgic like the album art from that period. I used bright colors and was selective in choosing photos of the band. I found creative ways for the band to interact with the typography. Each member is, in some way, interacting with the type and shapes. One of the great staples of pop punk albums was photos of the bands performing at venues or house shows. I chose that style photo for the cover of the album to replicate the pop punk nostalgic feel.
